Then what?

The most common failure point in infrastructure operations isn't the sale — it's the handoff. Signed orders get emailed to ops, tasks get assigned in Slack, status gets tracked in a spreadsheet, and nobody has a single view of where anything is.

No structured handoff

Sales sends an email to ops. Ops creates a ticket. Nobody knows if the ticket maps to the signed order correctly — or if anything was missed.

No delivery visibility

The tenant asks when they'll be live. The ops lead doesn't know without checking three systems. The answer is always "let me find out."

Billing goes live late

Nobody tells billing when the service was actually activated. The invoice goes out on the wrong date — or the service was running for a week before billing noticed.

When a contract is signed, Yutanix automatically creates a delivery work order with all tasks pre-populated from the service type. Ops picks it up from the queue — everything they need is already there.

The moment a contract is signed, a delivery work order is automatically created — pre-filled with service type, tenant details, site assignment, and required tasks. No manual ticket creation, no risk of missed details.

Task templates by service type

Colocation, cross-connects, managed services, and internet transit each have their own task template — cabinet assignment, power provisioning, LOA issuance, testing, and activation steps defined once and applied automatically.

Task ownership and notifications

Each task is assigned to the right team member — or team role — with email and Slack notifications. Dependencies are tracked, so step 4 only unlocks when step 3 is complete.

Activation triggers downstream actions

When ops marks the service as activated, three things happen automatically: the tenant receives a service-live notification, the billing engine starts the billing cycle from the actual activation date, and the service moves to the lifecycle tracking view.

Full audit trail, permanently recorded

Every task completion, every assignment change, every note — recorded with timestamp and author. The complete delivery history is attached to the service record forever.
